Wezzle reviewed by DoubleClick

June 18, 2010 — cam

Couchware is pleased to announce that Wezzle was reviewed by Marcel Dufresne in the June issue of DoubleClick, the official newsletter of Macintosh Users East.

From the review:

“Overall the game is a nice time waster. Once you start to play, you are always trying to better your last performance.” — Marcel Dufresne

How can you not want to download Wezzle after reading that?

Webble is Wezzle in web lingo

May 21, 2010 — cam

For the last two months, I have been working on a top secret project to implement Wezzle using only native browser technologies like HTML, CSS and JavaScript.  Behold! The fruits of my labour: Webble.

As Webble is still experimental, you can only do a handful of things you can do in Wezzle.  You can use all the pieces you know and love from Wezzle, you can rotate them, and you can use them to remove tiles and make lines.  The timer and score bars are also functional.

As for audio, you can optionally turn on the HTML5-powered sound on Chrome 4, Firefox 3.6+ and Safari (including Safari Mobile).  Audio should also work in IE once IE9 rolls around.

Play it to your heart’s content, and remember, if you like Webble, you’ll love Wezzle!

Play all of Wezzle for free for 3,600 seconds!

May 3, 2010 — cam

Have you ever thought about buying Wezzle but couldn’t justify shelling out $4.99 when you had only seen 10 levels? Don’t worry, we understand!

That’s why we made a downloadable version of Wezzle that lets you see the whole game for 3,600 seconds. That’s a whole hour!

What will you see in these nearly limitless seconds that you don’t see in the demo?

  • Full screen mode. Your cinema display never looked so Wezzly.
  • 87 achievements. Yes, that many.  I know most other games only give you 70, maybe 80 achievements.  We go that extra mile and give you 87. We even let you keep them if you choose to buy the game.
  • High score tracking. We keep track of your high scores, so you don’t have to. Not only do we track your score, we track your difficulty level too.
  • 7 more songs, composed specifically for Wezzle.
  • Unlimited levels. Play until you turn to dust.
  • Level selection. The first 5 levels too easy, but having trouble on level 7? Why not start there so you can practice?

So what are you waiting for? Give ‘er a download-a-roo!
